I think we can all agree, 2020 was sort of a “bust.” But, never fear, another year is just around the corner. 2021 will be here before you know it and there’s no better time to get that “do over” trip on the books. Now is a great time to secure your room, and early booking rates, by booking a vacation package.
There will be some changes in 2021.
Disney will no longer offer complimentary Magic Bands. Personally, I think they should have just changed to making all Magic Bands available for pickup at the resort and eliminated shipping them to guests’ homes. Yes, it’s super fun to get them in the mail, BUT, isn’t Disney always trying to be “green” and earth friendly? How earth friendly is all that over packaging and shipping?
Dining Plans are not currently being offered for travel in 2021. If you’ve traveled with a Disney Dining Plan then you know they are amazing. You pre-pay, and when you travel you eat, and eat, and don’t look at the price, because you’ve prepaid. It’s glorious. We think the Disney Dining Plans will most likely return but currently are not offered for new bookings in 2021. Rest assured when Disney Dining Plans are available to add to your package Happily Ever After Travel will let you know what options are available.
Park Hopping is not currently being offered in 2020. Time will tell if extended park hours and hopping return for guests in 2021.
Vacation Packages only offered through September 26, 2021 travel. Why do we think this is? Because Walt Disney World is celebrating 50 YEARS in 2021, of course! October 1, 2021 will be Walt Disney World’s 50th birthday. No doubt the Disney Parks have something BIG in mind for this celebration. No doubt those plans are a little up in the air at this moment. With all the delays due to Covid and all of the closures and months upon months of lost progress on updates, new rides, and no income I’m sure there are many things that need to be figured out by the Disney powers that be. Disney wants to get this highly anticipated celebration right, despite Covid.
If you would like to sign up to be the first to know when the September 27, 2021 travel dates are open please visit our link to sign up. No doubt space at Disney’s Contemporary and Disney’s Polynesian Resorts will go quickly since these two favorite resorts were the first resorts to open their doors within minutes of the Magic Kingdom so long ago on October 1. Disney fans will be racing to get spots in these resorts.
