My name is Erin James, and I am a self-proclaimed travel nerd. I absolutely love diving in to new destinations and immersing myself in the history and culture of that place. My husband and I enjoy taking long road trips with our two children, Elijah and Isabel. We love to find new, off-the-beaten-path towns and learn everything we can. This love for travel and culture has led me to a place my heart always knew it belonged, the travel industry! As a Travel Professional, the same love that goes into planning my own family’s adventures will go into planning yours. My goal is to find new opportunities for you and your group to learn and experience everything your dream destination has to offer. Whether you’re a history buff who wants museums and architecture, or a family looking for rare and extraordinary adventures, my dream is to make your dreams come true!

Favorite Place to Travel:

It’s hard to pick a favorite! I could think of countless things that each trip I’ve taken had to offer, but my favorites would probably be, New York City, where the city lights at night were mesmerizing and magical, and we got to enjoy a couple plays on Broadway! Cruises are always great, not only do you get to experience the culture at the ports you visit, but all of the crew have awesome stories about how they decided to travel the world as their job! However, my all-time favorite trip has to be Disney World! Going as a child is truly an experience that will stay etched in my heart forever. The magic engulfs all of your senses and it’s unlike any family vacation you’ll ever experience.

Best Thing I've Ever Eaten on Vacation:

Trying new foods is something my family takes very seriously! There’s nothing more confusing to me as a traveler than being in a new place, but getting the same foods you can get at home…so, we’re always on the lookout for new and exciting dining experiences! My favorite by far was on a trip with my husband, we went to this little restaurant on the river in San Antonio, and the chef brought out a new appetizer that consisted of an oyster layered on a small crispy wafer with some spiraled veggies and this AMAZING sauce. It was just one bite, but it was a bite that we talk about all the time!

Becoming a Travel Planner is honestly a dream come true. Getting to spend my time researching destinations and experiences, scouring the globe for amazing deals and one-of-a-kind experiences; it is truly where my heart feels at home. I love being the person you think of when some off-the-wall travel idea pops into your head, and together we iron out all of the details, and I get to watch that idea turn in to your Happily Ever After. It’s such a privilege to help people plan these adventures that enrich their lives and make memories that play out in their hearts forever.
