About TerryMy story began in the restaurant world. I was a franchisee for many years owning markets in Kansas and Hawaii. I decided to leave that world behind a few years ago, but it has so many memories. I have traveled to every corner of the United States, Caribbean, Mexico, and other places. I am the proud father of 2 young men who are getting into their professional careers, and I couldn’t be prouder of both. I have been married for 33 years to my best friend and without her our family would be in chaos, she keeps us grounded! Kris and I traveled with our sons all over playing football, basketball, and baseball and have so many fond memories of all the games and tournaments, but even more the people we were surrounded by during that time. We are very lucky that our boys have many friends they have known since they were in pre-K. They are still friends and have even been college roommates for all these years. During our time, we took many family trips to Hawaii, Caribbean, Mexico and all over the U.S. traveling with friends and family. We traveled on cruise ships, stayed in Air BNB’s, hotels, VRBO’s, cabins, and yachts. We experienced all the grandeur of the Hawaiian Islands while traveling there over 100 times. These memories are etched in all our minds for life. I have two favorite memories from all the years traveling. The first came when my niece wanted to go to Disney when she was 5 years old in 1995. We all took the 24-hour drive from home to get there in a van! She was so excited and we spent the week together along with my wife, brother, and sister-in-law, it was magical. The next came when I took my mother to Hawaii with my wife and sons. We didn’t grow up with much and being able to take her to Hawaii before she passed away is something that is very special to all of us! While staying on the beach at the Outrigger in Waikiki, I had my mom in a room facing the ocean with a balcony. I asked her if she wanted to go down to the beach with us and she said, “Son, do you hear the water? That is a sound God makes and it has to be the best sound I have ever heard!” She stayed right there all day just watching the waves roll in and being the happiest I have ever seen. This is why I wanted to get into the travel business. Traveling makes an impact on people that you cannot explain, but rather you must experience. You don’t have to spend a life savings to travel. I have always planned our trips and our friends trips together. Over the years it could be a weekend tournament for baseball and some outings. It could be a trip to the lake for some sun and fun, or a trip on a Yacht around the New England coast for a week. I find the best routes, hotels, and excursions that can be had by all. Your Favorite Place to Travel: My favorite place to travel must be the Hawaiian Islands, the Caribbean, and anywhere with my family. I have taken over 25 people to see the Arizona Memorial in Hawaii. We have always loved going on cruises, and love to snorkel with the stingrays in the Caymans and visit the sea turtles! We enjoy beach time and a getaway to the Florida Keys is always an option for us. The best thing you've ever eaten on vacation: We enjoy fresh fish in most any destination we travel. We are all midwestern and love to eat our steaks, but a freshly caught Opah in Hawaii is amazing. We also enjoy sitting on a beach eating taco’s and enjoying some fresh guacamole!! It’s great to find a local place and get into the local culture. The best part about being a Travel Advisor: The most amazing part I am seeing from being a Professional Travel Planner is that I get to help my friends and family have a stress-free vacation. I want everyone to be able to experience what I have been able to see over all my years of traveling without learning the travel curve. I often use the word “Framily”. My friends are just like family to me, and I want to help more people join our traveling “Framily” so I can help plan their perfect vacations. Call 855-939-4328 ext 7272.
